About this artwork
Are you going to see a show this summer? These friends are relief and happy to be finally able to return to a bit of a normal life after COVID. I had so much pleasure to create them and remembering the last time I went to a concert or the Stampede in Calgary (Canada). But frankly I must say that it makes me nervous to be in crowded space so may be I willl wait until next time. I wish you a great summer and stay safe. Marie xo
Painted on a professional… Masonite panel . I use only professional acrylic paint and UVLS varnish. This is an original painting.
« I breathe art, I eat art and I am happy. Art is in my blood. Art is my life. »
Marie Manon Corbeil began to paint amidst personal challenges:‘Between sadness and hope, there was art’. Realizing that life’s difficulties provided her with a new means of expression, Corbeil wants to convey a sense of joy within her contemporary abstract works. She draws forms and writes positive words under each canvas before beginning a piece. Employing large brushes to provoke unplanned strokes, she also uses her fingers to optimize the vibrant colors in her compositions.
