About this artwork
This work is a triptych painted in oil on three handmade wooden frames, which are perfectly joined with a system of screws that the frames have at the back.
It represents a coastal landscape in northern Spain in which the passage of time can be seen, geologically speaking.
In the ancient Cuchía delta, approximately 150 million years ago the sea flooded an extensive river plain, forming a platform where the calcarenites were deposited.
In this… stunning oil painting, sunlight bathes a picturesque beach of golden sand and crystal clear waters. The scene opens before the viewer, inviting them to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the coast.
The beach extends in a gentle arc along the base of majestic cliffs that rise on either side of the bay. These cliffs, of incalculable geological value, exhibit a rich palette of earthy colors, from ocher and gold tones, browns and grays.

Marietta Negueruela is an experienced artist based in Spain whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Italy and France. Her most recent works revolve around the landscape and are inspired by metaphysics, the Renaissance, and geometric forms. Color also plays a fundamental role in Negueruela's artistic practice.
