About this artwork
My name is Maria Ruisi, an artist born in Riga on May 27, 1983. An engineer and researcher in interior design and decoration, I have been developing an artistic approach for several years where structure, light, and emotion are in constant dialogue. "Interior Architecture" is a contemporary abstract work born from a long process of composition and balance. This work does not represent a real place.
It evokes an interior, intimate, almost meditative… space — a visual refuge where one can breathe.
I create each piece with extreme attention to materials, pigments and durability over time.
The artwork is delivered with the utmost care, ready to integrate into a contemporary, minimalist or architectural interior.
Welcome to the Contemporary Abstract Art Gallery, founded in 2018 by Maria Ruisi, an artist, researcher, and creator working at the intersection of contemporary abstraction, materials exploration, and sculptural minimalism. From a young age, Maria Ruisi has dedicated herself to artistic research. Trained in fine arts, interior design engineering, and computer engineering in Latvia, she primarily expresses herself through painting and sculpture using mixed media. She masters contemporary abstraction with elaborate textures, alternating between intuition and precise gestures, playing with layering, relief, and light. Her style, combining balance and spontaneity, invites sensory exploration. Through her works, she seeks to evoke introspection, tranquility, and an intimate connection with space, offering the viewer a profound emotional experience and a silent dialogue with matter.
