'Dragon Heart' belongs to the Heart Metamorphosis series of watercolor paintings, which explores the shifting phases of grief, heartbreak, and healing.
In this work, a surreal fusion of human anatomy (the heart) and dragon fruit visualizes the resurrection or the "Fenix' stage of the emotional renewal. The heart that underwent different turbulent phases of processing grief and self-healing comes to the stage in which starts to feel and be alive… again. It embodies the transformative power of self-love, passion, and resilience.
Painted with handmade watercolors based on natural, Earth, and plant pigments with a touch of pastel and color pencils on 100% handmade recycled cotton paper.
