About this artwork
In this work I played with passionate red and deep black tones to create an emotional depth that is both stirring and calming. The use of acrylic allowed for dynamic, almost sculptural textures. Through this abstract composition I want to invite viewers to explore their own feelings and interpretations that resonate with the energy and intensity of the image. This painting brings a powerful, transformative energy to any space.
Abstract work on… painting board with passepartout. Framing is mandatory.
« As my work arises from my own emotional state and moods, I aim to evoke similar emotions in the viewer. »
Marion Kotyba is an established German painter who has been working freelance since 2010.
The most prominent feature of Marion Kotyba's art is the theme of "rust and aging" as a stylistic device in abstract acrylic painting. In this context, the artist continually reinterprets the interplay of color, light, textures, and technical implementation with artistically impressive power of interpretation, both new and exciting. Recently, observations of the effects of weathering in nature—rusted surfaces, broken structures, glazes, and combinations thereof—have played a particularly important role. The artist works primarily non-objectively in clearly defined groups of works. Marion Kotyba's aim is to offer the viewer of her works sufficient scope for the unbridled exploration of their own imagination on an abstract level of representation.
