About this artwork
After a long search and so much learning, I finally wanted to paint “love”.
But how do you paint something so big?
Do I have the right to paint love even though I don’t yet understand so much?
It seems presumptuous to me to want to paint something so big.
Often something is called love when in reality it is a barter.
Often something is called love when in reality it is fear of being alone.
And it is certainly not love to want to please everyone.…
Love is neither self-abandonment nor wanting to have.
It is what it is, says love.
This is how I painted trust.
It takes a lot of trust in life and also in God to trust, to trust again and again.
After a loss, after disappointments, to always choose love.
