About this artwork
Charles Bukovski
Behind his coarseness was a sensitive, wise soul!
This becomes noticeable as soon as one immerses oneself in his poems and deals more with his biography.
This work tells the story of a seeker. The artist says that the more she studied the story of Charles's life, the more and more beautiful it became. Above all, his poem "Go all the way" touched her deeply. Surprised by its depth - previously she only knew his proletarian demeanor… and some of his coarse texts - the writer's expression on the painting changed. The face, which initially seemed almost ugly, became increasingly pure and beautiful. With every stroke of the brush, his facial features became finer, his eyes deeper and more radiant.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder....
