About this artwork
This painting from my Hope series was instrumental in my big Solo show Hope Island at Gulden Kunstverk in Norway, in January 2021. The Hope series is one out of four Lockdown series, made during the Pandemic.

Marit Geraldine Bostad is a Norwegian abstract colourist whose work has been exhibited internationally and most recently selected for the Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize shortlist. Geraldine’s paintings investigate themes such as the inner psyche, nature and memory, expressed as pure abstraction through her unique approach to the Nordic colour tradition.
