About this artwork
"My studio access was limited during lockdown, but these isolated painting sessions evoked the feeling of being in a laboratory - a space for experimentation, somewhere I brought the feelings of fear and uncertainty to my canvases where they were transcended moving in a new, hopeful direction. "LAB-series was born out of my hidden experiment during Covid-19 lockdown in Norway, where new colors and shapes were abstracted in a white, sterile room.… The outcome of this experiment is unverified as of yet and may never be, but will continue to shift and adapt.”
« It´s all about unlearning, finding your own inner voice - well hidden among echoes from our society »
Marit Geraldine Bostad is a Norwegian abstract colourist whose work has been exhibited internationally and most recently selected for the Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize shortlist.
