About this artwork
November always seems to me to be out of time - between the powerful autumn and the cozy Advent season. I used to find it simply awful with its darkness and muddy weather. I endured it, but never experienced it. Today, November marks the beginning of the heating season for me and the retreat into the warm house. It's stormy outside, the rain lashes against the windows, the birds fight over food. It's a good time to read and paint because the world…
outside no longer requires my intervention. It has become so visible. The leafless landscape, thrown back on its skeleton, offers a wonderful stage for projections... for green, yellow and red, for mountains and water...
