About this artwork

For this work made on recycled canvas, I worked mainly on the charcoal drawing on a primer, then colored it with acrylic paint, with successive glazes in oil with a few touches of pigments and chalks,
all enhanced with a few leaves of gilded metal to reveal the celestial nature of the characters, animals and flowers which appear in this composition.

This piece, which evokes reverie and also a form of freedom, invites the spectator to "flirt with… the clouds", to rise in freedom beyond earthly limits.
