About this artwork
This work is part of the "PRIMORDIAL ENERGY" project; the project was born from a trip to Iceland, a volcanic land that emerged from the ocean depths.
Of this Earth, created by fire and emerging from the silence of the ocean depths, I represent powerful forces that inspire fear, wonder, and curiosity.
Dormant volcanoes, covered by glaciers, periodically awaken, disrupting the landscape. But after the explosion and destruction, a new balance,… a new possibility, takes over... this happens in nature but also within human beings.

Marta Modi is a self-taught painter who primarily uses fluid acrylics, motivated by a deep and visceral connection with color.
