About this artwork
In this work, I worked with acrylic, oil, and striking textures, capturing the transient beauty of light. The semi-abstract forms and rough pigments reflect the constant change and hope that the horizon promises. It brings a calming yet powerful energy to any space and reminds us that after every darkness, a new light awakens. The path is often rocky, not straight or easy, but we must not lose hope and faith. Light means something different to everyone,… which is why, for me, light has symbolic significance for everything we want to achieve.
I prepared the structure with marble flour and lime
Marta Morgen is a self-taught painter who primarily uses mixed media, charcoal, acrylic, oil paints, and occasionally gold foil. She works experimentally with bold structures, combining classical oil painting with modern abstract art. Her style is characterized by emotional intuition, creative compositions, and a play with light and materiality. Her works are deeply emotional, expressing memories, longings, and unspoken emotions, inviting the viewer to be touched and discover new perspectives.
