About this artwork
This work belongs to my series on the freedom of childhood. I have decided to keep it in my personal collection for its sentimental value, but it serves as a reference for the quality and spirit of my commissioned work. In it, I capture the moment of freedom, friendship, and the joy of childhood, in a light-filled setting where girls walk confidently and freely toward their future.
Martín G. Jareño, a retired gynecologist, uses mixed media techniques such as oil, acrylic, watercolor, charcoal, and pastel, supported by extensive artistic training in Requena. His style fuses realism and expressionism, emphasizing emotional exploration over aesthetics, and employs bold colors and free compositions without falling into abstraction. His works convey a profound range of human emotions—sadness, hope, dignity—captured especially in glances and fleeting moments, connecting with the viewer through genuine and authentic sensitivity.
