About this artwork
In this vibrant explosion of color, I poured my joy and passion into every brushstroke. Using oil, I blended expressionism and impressionism to capture the dynamic spirit of blossoming flowers. This painting radiates energy and life, filling any space with warmth and a hopeful sense of renewal. It’s an invitation to celebrate beauty, growth, and the fleeting magic of spring.
« "The way to push painting to a deeper level is through abstraction. It is not an alternative but a path towards reality's core." »
Mary Papas is an award-winning painter who was born in Egypt and currently resides in South Africa. She has exhibited her art nationally and in Ireland. Current themes in her series and pieces include abstract cityscapes, environmental awareness, lush country landscapes, and still life. Papas’ abstract-expressionist style is translated onto canvas using thick oil paints and a palette knife.
