About this artwork
This artwork is an endeavor to reinvent the concept of the "Cypress"—an archetype in Persian culture and art, symbolizing freedom, endurance, and eternal life. In this piece, the cypress is not merely a botanical element but stands as a pillar between earth and sky, towering at the heart of the composition.
The Dual Frames: The presence of two painted frames surrounding the cypress symbolizes the boundaries between tradition and modernity, or perhaps… a transition through different layers of time. These frames direct the viewer’s gaze toward the center (the core of life), emphasizing the sanctity and significance of the central subject.
Embossed Miniature Motifs: At the foot of this ancient tree, miniature motifs are executed in relief, blending seamlessly with the background color. This conscious choice represents our deep roots in classical art and history—roots that, although absorbed into the body of the work, guarantee the stability and identity of the cypress
