“The crack that opens” is born as an act of transformation: not from rupture, but from openness to the new.
At the center of the work, the material fractures and rises, creating a physical crack that pierces the support and transforms it into volume. This opening does not represent a wound, but a threshold: a space through which what was previously contained emerges.
The piece is constructed from the superimposition of textures and layers, where… the organic and the intuitive take center stage. Turquoise tones evoke depth and inner calm, while gold adds a dimension of expansion and awareness. Red accents mark the vital energy that drives change, reminding us that all opening implies movement.
The pictorial gesture surrounding the crack—lines, points, and expanding shapes—accompanies this process like an energy in transit, as if the entire field of the work responded to that opening center.
