About this artwork
Today, social media is like a contemporary “mirror in the fairy tale of Snow White” (mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?). We question ourselves and “see” ourselves through them.
We don’t know if the mirror reflects what others see or what we would like to see… Or maybe we see exactly what we want, but our deepest intention may be different.
The triptych “Man in the mirror” is dedicated to confused emotions... When we discover… that our feelings do not correspond exactly to what we expected to feel.
The triptych "Man in the mirror" is composed of 3 photographs (each 60x60 cm) mounted live on 19mm forex. Unique edition of 9 certified and numbered copies. Museum quality: glicèe print on Hahnemühle paper. Acid free paper, supports and glues, guarantee of colors and brightness over time.

- Works on commission
Matteo Cervone is a visual artist and photographer. He is an exponent of conceptualism that is found in some of the themes he deals with and of formalism because of the compositional elements, color, lines, and shapes. Growing up in the Italy of design in the 70s and 80s, his style has been contaminated by the different currents of pop art and street art that have characterized the last fifty years.
In his work, traffic lights take on a symbolic role, becoming mirrors of society, emotions and behaviors. They are “observers” of human behavior.
His Fine Art images are in limited and numbered editions, printed on Hahnemühle paper, and mounted on forex with an acid-free process that guarantees the product in color and brightness for 100 years. Each print is certified.
