About this artwork
An incomprehensible object can be glimpsed beneath the layers of color, evoking memories and sensations that time seemed to have erased.
The shape that emerges takes shape, revealing its nature, bringing thoughts back to a childhood that has passed but never died away.
Two different techniques intertwine, airbrushing and oil and enamel painting, creating two overlapping universes that fade into each other.
« The time of memory that digs, leaving its marks, and brings out the essential. »
Maurizio Paccagnella is an award-winning Italian painter and sculptor whose works have been widely exhibited nationally, as well as in Morocco. Formerly a hyper-realistic artist, he abandoned this expression, as it has become too tied to formality and perfection. Paccagnella's artistic journey led him towards the path of abstraction, from which he creates blurred and evocative images that seem to "emerge from the memories of the time".
