About this artwork
The works in the Rinascita series are born from photographs I take while exploring places where nature is in decline, often on the banks of my homeland's rivers, capturing details that reveal the passage of time, vegetation losing its color and vitality. Over the print, transformed by a creative digital process, I overlay a transparent film, often covering fragments of writing, notes, graphics, other photographs, traces of my life, sometimes visible…
or partially hidden, a map where secrets lie hidden. The work is finally completed with an intervention on the film using acrylic paints and oil pastels, transforming the photographed image into a metamorphosis, a glimpse of rebirth in a new, timeless space.
