About this artwork
The original of this painting is huge measuring some 3 meters by 1.90 and was created for an exhibition. This piece bursts with raw energy through its sharp geometric lines and bold red outlines that slice through a grayscale backdrop. I wanted to capture the chaotic pulse of a world in flux, using symbolic shapes to evoke movement and tension. This print will energize your space with a really striking, modern pulse.

Maximilian Götzen, a half Austrian, half Hungarian painter and printmaker, trained under acclaimed artists and has been working in Spain since 2010. For many years, under Hungary’s communist dictatorship, his work was regarded as decadent and therefore unexhibitable. Nevertheless, a number of exhibitions of his work were organised. He masterfully blends pop and geometric abstraction with bold colours, strong linear structures, and repeated graphic forms inspired by graffiti, street art, symbolism and calligraphy.
