About this artwork

This work reflects the pure joy of experimentation and encourages you to see the unpredictable and the spectacular in every moment. It is a celebration of life, created in bold, vibrant colors that will fill any room with vibrancy and inspiration.
Meinrad Hoyer, born in Karlsruhe in 1965, began his artistic development early, leading him through intensive, self-taught studies of art history to a distinctive visual language. His first exhibition in a professional gallery took place in 2000. This was followed by numerous presentations, press coverage, and participation in international art fairs, including those in Luxembourg and Cologne. Since 2017, he has been a permanent member of the Ingrid Renz Gallery. Hoyer's painting is intuitive and spontaneous, moving freely between abstraction and figuration. Characteristic features include a decisive, physical brushstroke and the conscious use of scratches and materiality. As a long-time collector of contemporary art, Hoyer also brings a keen sense of current art to his work. His painting is influenced by, among others, the works of Francis Bacon, Cy Twombly, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and especially Robert Rauschenberg. www.meinrad-hoyer.de
