About this artwork
I found the reference image for this drawing on Pinterest. I stopped in my tracks when I saw those expressive eyes. I immediately wanted to use that photo as the basis for my hyperrealistic piece.
While I was drawing, the song “You Touched My Heart” started playing. I listened to it and looked at those eyes. That’s exactly how it felt to me—in my drawing, those eyes touched my heart.
In those eyes, in the whole picture, there’s a whirlwind of emotions—startle,… shock, anticipation, hope... it all seems to be in a single gaze.
While I was drawing, the song “You Touched My Heart” started playing. I listened to it and looked at those eyes. That’s exactly how it felt to me—in my drawing, those eyes touched my heart.
