About this artwork
She grew up in the city. She studied horticulture, graphic design and fine art. And that made her interested in how much joy plants could give to people. Any plants in the world make people calm. The plants give a bright side to themselves and others. She realizes how important plants are as a city girl.
She hopes they can enjoy their day with the help of her work.
She was born in Seoul, Korea, a big city. She views such urban life in positive and… active attitude. When She was a child, She grew up in Jamsil. It was a place where the nature and the city coexist.
She intends to provide comfortable rest for the modern people tired in the daily life of the city. Expressed in two-dimensional work through simple form, vivid colors and a broad outline, etc, such everyday experience and the social scene viewed by the artist of the same age are stories of the artist herself and self-portraits of everyone of this age living in contemporary society changing quickly.
« I am a contemporary artist who draws figures of modern humans living in urban landscapes with plants. »
