About this artwork
I began this painting when I was studying for my M.F.A. and finished it in the studio.
As with others in the series, it tries to capture the feelings of loneliness and divorce from meaning in today's world.
I admit to have thought about David's Marat when I painted it, though the composition differs significantly.
