About this artwork
Things happen while I'm painting that tickle my inquisitive brain. I find these things irresistible - the centering I feel in front of a canvas, the transcendent moment when surface and paint and motion begin to meld into something that pushes me farther than I thought I wanted to go, the unconventional documentation of real experience in nature, and, the notion of "escaping" time. I look up, three hours have passed, and it felt like three minutes.… We all have things in our lives that evoke these kinds of experiences. This painting encourages you to seek them more often.
Full size is 38H x 55W inches, leaving ample canvas (2.5 inches per side) to stretch to its 33H x 50W x 1.5D inch image as shown. This striking painting is signed on back and ships in a tube. Rolled works can be easily stretched (for canvas works, placed onto wooden stretcher bars) by a local framer.
« I'm curious about how nature inspires awe, how we feel it deep in our bones, how to express that relationship, and what we can learn from it. My energetic, investment-quality paintings bring balance and harmony from the natural world to your interior space. »
