About this artwork
All of the sudden, you find yourself in a moment of clarity, space, and awareness. I know this has happened to you! Being right here now feels simple, light, almost primal. It is this immediacy of being that makes me a process painter and draws me to wild places.
"Just Like That" is a playful, abstract painting. Bright blocks and curved planes of sunshiny color are balanced with more muted, calming tones of warm gray. Inspired by the sun as it reaches… over the gray sky, from darkness into dawn, it's an uplifting abstract for a contemporary space.
Full size is 48H x 49.5W inches, leaving ample canvas to stretch on deep stretcher bars to its 43H x 44.5W x 1.5D image as shown. It's signed on back and ships in a tube. This is especially safe for oversized works. Rolled canvas can be easily stretched (placed onto wooden stretcher bars) by a local framer.

Michelle Louis is a full-time American painter based near Madison, Wisconsin, USA. Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, and included in corporate and private collections throughout the United States and worldwide, including the National Gallery of Costa Rica. Artist and naturalist trained in studio art, graphic design, and landscape architecture, Michelle Louis's studio extends to her yard, where she nurtures an edible landscape. She received her BA from the University of Wisconsin, USA.
