About this artwork
"Pure and Simple," is a modern, abstract landscape of simple organic and geometric forms and gestural lines to create graphic richness and flow. The warm ecru, white, and black palette is calm and neutral. Its movement is energetic, playful, and positive with a mid-mod feel. "Pure and Simple" documents that sense of how it feels to be immersed in the natural world, fully connected. Please see additional photos for details.
Full size is 45H x 72W… inches, leaving ample canvas to stretch on deep stretcher bars to its 40H x 67W x 1.5D image as shown. It is signed and back and ships in a tube. This is especially safe for larger works. Rolled canvas can be easily stretched (placed onto wooden stretcher bars) and/or framed by a local framer upon arrival.

Michelle Louis is a full-time American painter based near Madison, Wisconsin, USA. Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, and included in corporate and private collections throughout the United States and worldwide, including the National Gallery of Costa Rica. Artist and naturalist trained in studio art, graphic design, and landscape architecture, Michelle Louis's studio extends to her yard, where she nurtures an edible landscape. She received her BA from the University of Wisconsin, USA.
