About this artwork
"Sentient (Diptych)" is an abstract expression of simple lines, organic forms, and positive energy. Blue greens, pale terra cottas, and white forms with black and gray gestural markings. "Sentience," reflects an individual's subjective awareness of themselves within the surrounding world. This striking painting is signed on back and ships, carefully prepared, rolled in a tube. This is the safest method for larger works. Rolled works can be easily stretched (placed onto wooden stretcher bars) by a local framer upon arrival.

Michelle Louis is a full-time American painter based near Madison, Wisconsin, USA. Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, and included in corporate and private collections throughout the United States and worldwide, including the National Gallery of Costa Rica. Artist and naturalist trained in studio art, graphic design, and landscape architecture, Michelle Louis's studio extends to her yard, where she nurtures an edible landscape. She received her BA from the University of Wisconsin, USA.
