In this work, I wanted to capture the fragility and intimacy of the human moment. Using watercolor, sanguine, and pencil on Arches® 185 g/m² paper, I played with soft tones to create a calm, almost meditative atmosphere. The figure conveys quiet contemplation and invites the viewer to discover the beauty in simplicity. This painting brings warmth and profound tranquility to any room.
"In my paintings, I always address the existential questions of human existence, focusing on the emotional aspects. Emotional experience as the basis of all experience."
Mike Wosnitzka works as a painter, draftsman, and visual artist, whose development has been shaped by a solid foundation of training under renowned masters. He utilizes both classical and his own techniques: with underpainting, superimposed layers of color, and dynamic, three-dimensional application of paint, he creates expressive works that blur the lines between dream and reality. His paintings tell stories full of sensuality and imagination, conveying profound, existential emotions, always with a sensitive eye for the human experience.
For many years, the artist regularly exhibited in Berlin together with artists of the "Leipzig School", "New Leipzig School" and artists of the Berlin University of the Arts.
