About this artwork
Building on his previous work, Chiera continues his profound exploration of form and color, delving into compositions with defined contours yet a distinctive painterly quality. Refined to simplified curves and formations, his work avoids recognizable references, inviting the viewer to consider themes that transcend context or direct representation. Influenced by 20th-century abstraction and modernist design, Chiera places equal importance on process…
and form.
In this series, the artist draws inspiration from concepts such as repetition, cataloging, and methods of study, which he describes as tasks or labour. Before painting, Chiera experiments with compositions using cut paper and transparency projections, revealing positive and negative gestures.

« I have no special talent, I am just passionately curious. »
I was born in a small town in Argentina, surrounded by the sweeping expanse of the countryside, to a family of Italian immigrants. Although my roots are steeped in Italian culture, my art carries the spirit of the land where I grew up. Tiny marks and symbols scatter across my canvases, weaving together cubism, constructivism, and abstract geometry with the essence of my work: the language of color.
Surrounded by nature's vastness, with endless horizons and a profound sense of freedom, I found inspiration in large-scale creations. Although I pursued Interior Design at the National University of Litoral, my journey into painting began in my earlier years. It was during my time at the Accademia di Arte in Verona, Italy, that I realized painting was my true calling.
Today, I live in Senigallia, Italy, after journeys through many cities. Each place has left its imprint on me, shaping the vision and expression that flows through my work.
