This piece continues my exploration of what is hidden and what is revealed, but there is a little change in the process, no masking fluid this time.
The painting begins with a vivid, coral-like world — layered, intuitive, and full of movement. It feels open, almost fully visible, as if everything is already there to be seen. Over this, I place a final layer of soft, flowing lines… — like currents moving across the surface. These lines do not fully conceal what lies beneath, but they gently interrupt it, creating a sense of distance, filtering, and quiet distortion.
What interests me is this subtle shift: how something once visible can become hidden simply by being passed through another layer — like looking through water, memory, or time.
