About this artwork
How much calm, how much nourishment can the earth give us? In a fast-paced world, I think it's important to slow down and connect with the earth, to feel our roots. Beauty slows the gaze and connects me to calm; every element exists in opposite balance, connecting with the Universe and its mysterious network of correspondences and synchronicities. In this way, a profound connection develops within me with values such as care, essentiality, and uniqueness.
Born into a family of artists, Monica Di Bartolo expresses herself through the use of acrylics and mixed materials, evolving techniques that play between opacity and transparency. He uses pictorial gestures and layered workmanship to explore the spirituality and mutability of nature, mixing vividness and contemplation. His works become windows into meditative states, inviting inner reflection and emotional recognition.
