About this artwork
Namibia - vast land - the Namib Desert.....
After a trip through Namibia, I had so many images and feelings in my head that I wanted to capture in painting. I could still feel the hot sand of the Namid Desert. The burning of the hot sun on my skin. The special light and the shimmering in the air. The red desert sand under my feet.
The feeling of light and sun floods me when I look at the picture. The desert sand shimmers in red, the sky glows in… blue. A unique natural spectacle. A miracle of nature. A miracle in Africa, painted with acrylic on canvas. It is the love of nature and landscape. The viewer also wants to feel a little desert trip with this picture. This painting is an ode to the freedom and wildness of nature, intended to create an atmosphere of energy and inspiration in every room.
Monika Lehmann is a fascinating artist with a deep connection to humanity and nature, and a keen awareness of social and ecological issues. She studied free painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, and fine art. Her works are a powerful blend of aesthetic beauty and environmental awareness. In addition to paintings of landscapes and natural phenomena, her "FACES" series explores universal themes such as identity and diversity, without being tied to specific characteristics such as gender or origin. Art is an expression of their inner world, but also a platform to draw attention to global challenges.
