About this artwork
The background of the picture from the series "Glaciers - Ice and Snow" focuses on the changes on our earth - climate change, warming and the resulting melting of icebergs and glaciers. Climate researchers observe these changes very critically and repeatedly report on the consequences for nature and living beings. In times of climate change, global warming, natural disasters with floods on the one hand, and extreme storms and drought on the other,…
it is a particular challenge for me as an artist to depict the melting glaciers in our nature in pictures. In my pictures, art and the forces of nature meet , an unguidable meeting. I can skilfully steer my paint applications up to the expressive work of art. With the choice of colors, with a spontaneous and dynamic application of paint in layers, I am able to create a special depth of image.
