About this artwork
Interpretation of a bouquet of roses.
Movement of colors that seems to come off the whole ... for a long journey.
Painting done with a knife like most of Moyo's works.
The painting was done on a summer afternoon, the artist was reading on a bench in the calm of a park.
A scent coming from a bush of wild roses, located a few meters away, caught his attention.
The need to return to the workshop and paint naturally emerged.
The realization… was done with great joy and enthusiasm.

« To paint is to breathe, to breathe is to live. All art is an evolution, each work is a new stage, nothing is ever acquired. »
Moyo is a nationally renowned Belgian painter whose work is the result of more than three decades of experience. A superb colorist, he brings movement to colors. His paintings are exclusively devoted to nature, often leaving room to illustrate space, silences, and voids in his landscapes. Through his expression, he manages to combine softness and energy in the same paintings. Using oil paint applied to canvas with a palette knife, he gives movement to his works by emphasizing contrasts, colors, and materials.
