"A Warm Hug: The Unintentional Consequences of a Life-Saving Drug" explores important reflections on contemporary society and the problems we face. Inspired by his personal experience, Mr.Popcorn's work examines the abuse of psychotropic drugs and the impact this has on the mental and physical health of young people.
The artworks of Mr.Popcorn, named after pharmaceutical drugs… or active ingredients, are a comment on the increasing use of these drugs among young people and a critique of the lack of attention and support from society.
This title refers to the choice of using drug names or active ingredients as titles for Mr.Popcorn's artworks and suggests the idea of a warm and protective embrace, but at the same time highlights the abuse of these drugs.
