About this artwork
My abstract painting represents the taking of one's place in life. The different colors in the painting symbolize the different experiences and encounters we have in life. Some colors blend, creating zones of fusion and transition, while others are isolated, creating strong contrasts. It represents the fact that we can connect with others or differentiate ourselves from others through these different experiences and encounters. My intention was to…
create an abstract representation of this important theme using colors and shapes to give personal and deep meaning to the whole work.

Muriel Deumié is a self-taught French artist engaged in a free and instinctive process of exploration that she describes as Sanzism—a personal movement without labels or boundaries.
