About this artwork
The growing machine offers a symbolic vision of the advancement in life; from the baby projected into the world, up to the adult, a spiral path ascends and constructs a transformation. Desires and traps dot the path. Humans adopt the attitudes they want, and everyone can form their own idea of the proposed situations. A certain humor permeates the picture because the complete key to understanding life will not exist anytime soon! My vision of existence…
goes through the idea of various difficulties overcome and the opening beyond the painting to a transcendent world, embodied by the character with a wheel, equipped to continue.
The background is abstract; a large part gives way to blue and induces a surge towards the sky; the bottom of the table, black, expresses the existence of mysterious shadows in which we prefer not to fall.
