Pequeña en escala pero intensa en presencia, Pekín condensa la fuerza gestual y la tensión cromática que definen el lenguaje de la artista. Sobre papel reciclado transformado minuciosamente, la materia deja de ser soporte para convertirse en protagonista: líneas, contrastes y choques de color registran el instante exacto en que algo cambia de estado.

Myriam Maya began her painting practice out of a need to give visible form to her inner life. From the outset, her work emerged as an act of translation between intimate experience and perception of the environment, exploring the relationship between emotion, thought, and color as inseparable languages. Chromatic contrast became one of her essential resources, not only as a plastic element but also as a sensory vehicle capable of revealing internal states.
Her work stems from intuition and perceptive listening, understanding painting as a space where the visible and the invisible converse. Each series constitutes a sensitive investigation that seeks to transform inner experience into visual presence, always maintaining a tension between contemplation and revelation.
Driven by the conviction that art is simultaneously a message, a passion, and a vital necessity, her practice does not respond to external trends, but to a genuine impulse to create.
