The matrix of this painting is a dream. A dreamlike stroll in a magical forest towards a point of balance. A centered anchor point. A junction between shadow and light. This weave of shadow and light opens the space and gives it all its depth. The gaze penetrates the open space, follows an attractive and sparkling path of light, then rests on the horizon. This path is lined with trees, composed of real birch bark at the feet of which real stones… are collected on sand. They are the guardians and columns of the temple of an outdoor Sagrada Familial. The light sweeps the space with its breath, soft and powerful. A breath all in length and depth, soothed like that which allows us to go deep within ourselves.
Naïma Carbonare works primarily in painting, integrating natural elements collected along her journey between Drôme Provençale, Africa and Paris, with a background in Fine Arts in Lyon. She combines acrylic with plant, mineral or animal materials, creating suggestive works using glazing techniques, anchored in abstraction and inspired by land art. With a refined research on textures and light, she conveys the emotion of a living nature, in perpetual metamorphosis, inviting the viewer to contemplate the fragile and marvelous balance between humans and the earth.
