About this artwork
This painting, Vibrant Connections, was inspired by a previous painting. That painting, Not From a Fall, is no longer. I have painted over that painting and created this one. That painting has a very sad and poignant story . It is an image of an abused woman.
Vibrant Connections was originally going to be called "Bruised." Inspired by the colors of a bruise, I decided to use the colors that you get when you get bruised.
But this painting turned… out so beautiful that I did not want to associate it with a negative title. So, I came with Vibrant Connections. This title plays better as I attempted to create a connection between the all of the colors I used. In turn, it is an interesting play on connections we have with each other.
I hope this painting moves you as much as it moved me.
