About this artwork
In creating this piece, I used acrylics and relief printing to bring forth a symbolic representation that ignites curiosity and introspection. The juxtaposition of textures and the stark yet harmonious contrast in colors embody the emotions of discovery and the ephemeral beauty of moments captured. This painting is a gateway to a world of wonder, inviting the observer to delve into a narrative that is uniquely their own, as it radiates a vibrant,… dynamic energy within the space it inhabits.
This one went through many changes over the years. Started approx. in 2007 it went from being a full moon to a balloon in 2018. The right half is heavily textured and has the imprint of oak leaves, native to my former home in New Mexico. It used to be called 'east meets west' as the stems are bamboo-like and the leaves are oak.
« Always balancing light and dark to create something unique and beautiful. »
