In this piece, I aimed to capture the quiet mystery of a glowing moon over restless waves, using minimalism to focus on pure emotion. The vintage hues and textures evoke nostalgia, while the acrylic and spray combine to create a dreamlike, rhythmic energy. This artwork invites calm reflection and will bring serene depth and a touch of timeless beauty to your space.
Painted on and into an old Thai teak wood window shutter. The lower window represents… the earthly, the ground- intentionally making it somewhat ambiguous, as the hills could be houses. The top part, well my ever appearing moon. The whole piece has of course a rustic feel to it, given the wood work.

At the age 16 Nartana enrolled in the 'Fachoberschule fuer Gestaltung', followed by Fachhochschule fuer visuelle Kommunikation. in Aachen, his hometown. Nartana left Germany and traveled extensively throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas, eventually establishing himself as an artist and member of the Counsel or the Arts and the Society of Artists in Santa Fe, New Mexico and for the last 18 years living in Thailand.
