About this artwork
Painting is feeling and poetry. And poetry is when "things are put in order." Painting means knowing when to stop, when the canvas demands it. It means knowing how to use all the colors to bring to life a painting that seems black, nocturnal, but is actually full of blues, reds, and earthy tones, where even a single extra star could compromise and ruin weeks of work. For me, painting is the only reality, the only experience, and the only possible… truth. Today, no one paints anymore. I know nothing else: painting and its truths.
« You must have the gift of color as a singer must have a voice. Color reaches its full expression only when it corresponds to the intensity of the artist's emotion. »
Natale Addamiano is an Italian painter whose works have been widely exhibited nationally, as well as in Poland, the United States, and Japan. He believes that an artist must possess nature and interpret it, but without depriving it of the intrinsic energy it possesses. Addamiano describes his relationship with nature as an infinite dialogue, a binary flow of observation and transformation. For him, the composition is of primary importance, where the subject and the background have the same value.
