Sometimes a person enters the self not through feeling, but through order.
Through repetition, ornament, the grid — through a quiet geometry that seems to promise stability. Yet the more strictly the space is arranged, the more palpable becomes the strangeness of what lives inside it.
Memory is not built like an archive, but like a room from a dream: everything is in its place, and everything is slightly displaced. A face appears like a fragment… of an answer to a question that has not yet been asked. The inner and the outer do not argue here — they mirror one another, like two facing glasses in which scale begins to dissolve.
Sometimes the search for oneself is precisely this wandering through pattern, where every line seems чужой until, suddenly, you recognize your own trace.
