About this artwork
“Let Me Shine” is less about flowers than about a state of becoming. The composition captures a moment of brightness and release—like something vibrant pushing through and refusing to stay quiet. The upward movement of the flowers, the bright bursts of yellow and fiery reds, and the thick, luminous texture all feel like they’re reaching for light and attention. The emotional tone of the piece suggests confidence, expression, and a desire to be seen… that makes the piece feel symbolic rather than just floral.
This is an almost sculptural painting created with an acrylic paint thickened with an acrylic gel on a gallery wrapped canvas (no framing required). Edges are painted. Vanished and glossed. Signed on the side.
Natalia Kutova, a self-taught Ukrainian-born artist in San Diego, wields a palette knife and acrylics to sculpt impasto masterpieces. Her florals and trees metamorphose into visual metaphors, rejecting literal representation for profound meaning. Her work vibrates with life, inviting viewers into a textured world where emotions are tangible and every bloom tells a story.
