About this artwork
I created this painting to capture the gentle beauty of peonies in full summer light. Their blooming season is short, and I wanted to preserve that fleeting moment when the petals glow and the colors feel especially vivid. Working in oils, I focused on the soft interplay of light and shadow, the richness of the pink and white blossoms, and the peaceful countryside atmosphere behind them.
For me, this piece is about warmth, harmony, and the quiet… joy that flowers bring. I hope it brings the same feeling of calm and freshness to its new home.
