About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to capture a raw, almost explosive energy. Well, nothing new there…
What's this dragon business all about? You might ask…
A dragon is someone who breathes fire from their nostrils. The atmosphere is usually a bit tense, but it doesn't last.
This painting plays on the surprise of a scene from life with humor and tenderness amidst a moment of tension. How to ease the atmosphere?
The dragon? With or without mayo? Pardon? … Um…jersey.
In your home, it will bring a vibrant, committed force, a breath of life that questions and challenges without ever leaving anyone indifferent.
« A Dutch client once taught me that NEP means false in Dutch. I find it meaningful because I like this absurd and uninhibited side in my work »
NEP is an experienced French painter with national exposure. Motivated by the feeling that his work is an inner, never-ending adventure, he transmits his dreams and anxieties in each composition, usually subconsciously. Painting in a neo-expressionist style, he achieves an aesthetic that displays influences from children's drawings and ultimately presents a chaotic but rich visual journey.
