About this artwork

Bold Statement Piece

Textured, layered and contemplative gestural piece with great depth and organic shapes. Most of the colors are the result of color blending using acrylic mediums, palette knife and Sennelier paint. It can be displayed in multiple orientations (see illustrations of this). Signed upon request!

This work has been exhibited in Los Angeles at The Other Art Fair in 2018.

This original one of a kind abstract painting was created… by international best selling abstract painter Nestor Toro using his gestural style. I use only the best quality Professional Grade acrylics by Sennelier and Golden for rich colors! All works are protected with a UV layer for archival color stability which protects from sunlight and also provides a beautiful vibrant finish. This work uses high quality acrylics and is done on a gallery wrapped canvas with no need to frame with beautifully painted edges to complement the work. Nestor Toro is a dedicated American artist whose works have been exhibited throughout Los Angeles. Influenced by his many travels and a consequent appreciation for cultural difference, he infuses each abstract painting with a vibrant and rich colour palette, designed to reflect this energy of difference and discovery. Toro takes additional inspiration from aquariums - their coordinated fluidity and the movement of sea life in confined spaces - and seeks to connect this to the spaces on his canvases.
